Supporting the Southeast Asia Bible College and Seminary Community

About

What is Hearts for Myanmar all about?

Hearts for Myanmar exists to support, encourage, and equip the dedicated faculty, students, and alumni of SEABC&S in Yangon, Myanmar. Our mission is to foster resilience and growth within this vibrant academic and spiritual community, nurturing knowledge and character that will positively influence Myanmar. At the heart of our work is a steadfast commitment to walk alongside individuals on their educational and ministerial journeys, empowering them to effect enduring change.

We hope for a community where members of the SEABC&S family are supported, prepared, and inspired to fulfill their unique calling. We believe the Gospel centered training of SEABC&S is both a transformative force for individuals and a cornerstone for building strong, resilient communities. Through heartfelt support and authentic relationships, Hearts for Myanmar seeks to bridge divides, expand opportunities, and inspire enduring hope.

Impact

How we're partnering with Myanmar

Our mission is realized through two primary objectives: Providing Tangible Support and Nurturing Spiritual Encouragement.

Providing Tangible Support

Hearts for Myanmar recognizes that practical assistance is vital to the success of the SEABC&S community. We are committed to:

Emergency and crisis assistance
Helping individuals navigate unexpected expenses that could hinder academic or ministries.
Educational opportunities and training

Supporting continuing education and training, making vital opportunities more accessible.

Curriculum and materials support
Supplying training materials and resources that uphold excellence in education.
Special projects

Supporting emerging projects and building initiatives.

Graduation celebrations

Supporting meaningful ceremonies, guest speakers, and gifts such as Old and New Testament commentaries.

Nurturing Spiritual Encouragement

We understand that true support also cares for the hearts and spirits of those who serve. To that end, we are dedicated to:

Uplifting individuals through prayer and presence

Ensuring that each person feels seen, heard, and cared for in all seasons.

Inviting special guests

Bringing in trainers, guest speakers and supporters to meet emerging needs.

Creating opportunities for fellowship
Supporting alumni gatherings, teacher dinners, and one-on-one connections across Myanmar (in areas which are safe to do so).
Facilitating extended and more frequent visits
When needed we seek to send Nicola French (“Mom Nicky”) – providing consistent encouragement, presence, connection and prayer.

Commitment to the SEABC&S Family

Hearts for Myanmar is unwavering in its support for every student, faculty member, graduate, and alumni of SEABC&S. Our commitment is long-term, built on trust, friendship, and enduring hope. We recognize both the joys and challenges that come with pursuing education and ministry, and we pledge to walk with you through every season.
